Samsung French Door Refrigerator Door Flap Problem

Periodically the ice maker flap in the door will cycle continously opening and closing. Left side french door flap on samsung refrigerator didn t retract when closing. This appears to be a common long standing samsung problem but haven t found a fix online. I stopped into my go to appliance repair shop to ask about what might be needed to repair the problem with my refrigerator door.

The problem is not with the door or the door hinges itself. The left door as you look at the fridge was open and i stood up from underneath it ooooowwww. That door is the one with the little flap on it that allows the 2 doors to seal in the middle of the fridge. Cost would be 250 300 with part labor and service.
